Case Study: Trinidad Coffee Company - A Packaging Design Rebrand
The Challenge
Trinidad Coffee Company, a purveyor of high-quality coffee, approached us with a clear goal: refresh their brand identity through new packaging design. The objective was to create a cohesive and modern look that would appeal to their existing customers while also attracting new ones. The new designs needed to communicate the premium nature of their coffee and showcase the unique character of each blend.
My Approach
I began by developing a series of design concepts, each one exploring a different visual direction. I focused on creating a clean, sophisticated look that would stand out on the shelf. I opted for a versatile, stand-up pouch, which not only provides excellent product protection but also offers a generous surface area for impactful graphics.




For the Mocha Java Artisan Blend, I used a vibrant magenta against a crisp white and dark gray background. The color choice makes a bold statement and differentiates the product from more traditional coffee packaging. The Signature Coffee line was given a distinct, elegant look, with a deep blue that evokes a sense of quality and a detailed, ornate pattern to reflect the rich and complex flavors of the coffee.
I also designed a variation with a transparent window to allow customers to see the beans inside, building trust and showcasing the product's quality firsthand. This design, along with the others, was created to be easily adaptable across different blends and sizes, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
The Result
The final packaging designs successfully elevated the Trinidad Coffee Company brand. The new look is modern, premium, and visually appealing, effectively communicating the high-quality product within. The designs are consistent yet distinct, creating a cohesive brand family while allowing each blend to have its own identity. I was proud to help Trinidad Coffee Company create a look that is as exceptional as their coffee.
Case Study: St. Nick's Holiday Look Books - Creating Captivating Collections
The Challenge
I designed and created a series of distinct look books, each one tailored to a specific theme and target audience. Rather than a standard catalog layout, I focused on a magazine-style approach, blending high-quality photography with engaging design elements. This allowed me to present the products within the context of complete, imaginative installations, making it easy for clients to envision the displays in their own spaces.

Fiesta Collection: For this catalog, I used vibrant colors and dynamic layouts to capture the festive and celebratory spirit of Latino holidays like Cinco de Mayo and Día de los Muertos. I showcased everything from large-scale piñata displays to intricate maracas and taco light sculptures.

Animal Kingdom: This look book was specifically designed for zoos, aquariums, and nature parks. The designs featured realistic and whimsical light sculptures of animals, from towering giraffes to playful monkeys. I highlighted both interactive elements and stunning 2D displays, demonstrating how these pieces could create an immersive experience for visitors.

Fall & Halloween: To capture the unique atmosphere of the fall season, I used a rich color palette and moody lighting. The catalog featured a variety of walkthrough arches and lighted displays in the shape of pumpkins, spiders, and other spooky creatures, appealing to clients looking to create festive autumn and Halloween events.

Lunar New Year: This catalog celebrated the tradition and symbolism of the holiday. I incorporated classic motifs like cherry blossoms, dragons, and lanterns into the designs, using a sophisticated color palette of reds, golds, and pinks. The look book's design aimed to convey the light, luck, and celebration that define this important cultural event.

I structured the catalog with clear sections, dedicating pages to different categories such as:
